Here it is, a song I wrote inspired by a funny dream about a scary ex-landlady, the timeless and immortal circus fancies in my head and various bits of illustrated Greek Mythology I read about as a child. And an unruly ex-boyfriend. Thanks to Paul Soper who pushed, arranged, filmed and produced the video, the excellent Tine Kluth (see tinekluth) for her exquisite editing, John Hamilton who produced the track and provided its very delicate keyboard accompaniment, Emily Hannah for her fine and evocative cello part, Jonny Rogers for his use of Brand New Start Gallery & Venue - including provision of all props, perches, pictorial pastiche and paraphernalia... Thanks also to Tescos who provided the Strange Green Liquid aka Exotic Creature Elixir aka Mr Clean!!, which occupied decanter and glass, and smelt gorgeous but tasted far different, Ill bet. Said liquid was mock-sipped in video by moi but funnily enough sipped AND ingested by one unsuspecting and utterly deserving scavenger - who shant be named - a week or so subsequent to filming.
