Here it is, my OnePlus One 64gb International Edition review after 7 days of intensive use. Aesthetics - Looks good all round, the bezel however is of plastic with a metallic paint coating it like the edges of the S4. Back cover has a grippy feel in your hands however it isnt a nice deep black finish - more so charcoal black. Luckily back covers are swap-able (legit bamboo and denim covers etc), kinda reminds me of the old school nokia but on a higher level. Gotta say i dont like the power button and volume button positions. Hardware - SD801 @2.5GHz (same as S5), 3GB DDR3 RAM @1866MHz (like the Xperia Z2 & Z3). 5.5 Full HD LTPS IPS with GG3. 3100mah battery that can last me well over 24 hours (after 2-3 charge cycles 100% to 10% then charge) with average use - social networking, checking emails, calls, text, Boom Beach, Battle Cats, Aspalt 8 and the occasional snapchats. The phone also has a notification light which you can customize colours for battery levels and notifications Cant complain here.Detects 5.0GHz wifi channels. On Benchmark apps it makes the S5 go homo and swallow its load. Camera - Uses the Sony Exmor IMX 214 sensor available in the Xperia Z1. 13mp dual flash, decent enough in photos. Havent really tested the camera photo for photo with my Iphone but then again the camera isnt the biggest part of this phone. Fast at snapping, i know for sure its better than the nexus 5. 4k recording at 30fps, slow motion 120fps, full HD 60fps. Preloaded with filters. Id say its not bad, better than average. wont go into any more details i ceebs playing with it any further. Audio - Yamaha chipset thats used in the newer Xperia phones which provides better audio then my Iphone 5, Tested with same audio file (256kbps - Ne-Yo & Juicy Js She Knows) on both devices using my sound system (Z906), bt speaker (AirBeatz 503 & 505, yes i have two) and over-ear (Master Tracks v12) as well as in ear headphones (skully candys inkd 2.0). tested with and without EQ in play. Inbuilt 2x speakers are actually mono, and work in tandem. Software - CyanogenMod 11S on top of KitKat 4.4.4, this phone is the CynogenMod flagship after all. loving this part, feels like vanilla android refined to suit users like me. easy access to customization and responsive. No bloatware, google apps are preloaded and require updating, works in sync with the google launcher (given you install it yourself) without any hiccups. My little gripe is that snapchat crashes alot, but thats the snapchat developers fault (never experienced it this often compared to my iOS devices). Also has power saving features which i switch around for when i play asphalt 8. Side Note - Package does not include headphones however the included micro USB charge/sync cable charges at 2.1amps (2100mah vs the usual 500mah output included in other phones). Yes its fast and all (1% per over a minute keeping in mind it is a 3100mah pack inside), but the cable is too short and youd have to use USB power adapters/cables which can deliver that much output (tablet micro USB cables and adapters are usually 2.1amp output) Also my One was included with the Australian adapter add-on so lookout for that when buying. Even USB 3.0 ports with charge boost functions on my rig cant charge it fast enough. Dont even bother with your apple usb adapters - not enough pylons. Wish the phone had USB 3.0/3.1 capabilities, unfortunate that it missed out on that. Overall - for its price.. its damn good - TA would buy it. Make sure its up to date with the current firmware and it takes smooth flight. Its so good that Kin Jong Un probably told North Korea he invented it. Honorable Mentions - OTG cable and a USB pc Logitech gamepad if you game alot. TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN PROTECTORS NOT FILM - Niilken if you low on the $, make sure its authentic. Orzly if you got more to spend and ghost glass (USA) if you got the dolla dolla bills yo. Orzly TPU Case. 2.1amp charge adapters and spare 2.1amp cables are a likely must. Also grab a dual 2.1amp in car USB adapter too and dont buy accessories from china, eBay filter to AU - makes communication easier (yes speaka da englit), refunds/replacements are speedier and items are most likely authentic from Australian power sellers. Connects to Telstra and Optus Bandwidths with 4G LTE connectivity. DOES NOT connect to vodafone LTE bands, tried and only got 3g+. not sure if i had covered everything, but id be happy to answer any questions for the next 2 days or so related to this phone. And yes it doesnt bend.
