Here on Facebook Canadian Living is looking for your favourite picnic spot in your area - Well with 16 parks and picnic areas in Saugeen Shores it was hard to decide - But I entered North Shore Park here in Port Elgin as the "Best Picnic Spot" in my area - We have many sopts that could quaklify - As we have over 16 parks and picnic areas in our municiplaity But my favourite has to be - North Shore Park - Port Elgin, Ontario on Lake Huron - It has a miniature steam train going through it, picnic shelter, beautiful gardens and brook, playground for the kids and picnic tables and benches...Near the Port Elgin Beach and Harbour. And after the picnic you can follow the North Shore Trail that follows the lakeshore by bike, walk or take a run if ya feel like it. One of my favourite places on earth.
