Here was another moment that tickled me. The band started playing one of the songs for our show and I went to work with the mallets for a bit. The band continues on their own, playing all LOUD and full out. At the end of the piece I say with a smile, “well that was kinda nasty!” Then I hear in a voice that honestly reminds me of Gingy (Gingerbread man from Shrek). “ Mr. Morgan,… we’re not nasty (sad face an all). I had to explain, “No, you are not nasty, but playing as loud as you can and not listening to each other does make a nasty sound (think edgy, LOUD, not in tune, BLAST!) The sweet innocent “Gingy” voice just made me smile! I love these moments!
