Here we go Ladies and Gentlemen- An old friend to get you buff for the nice weather! Read below and see if you can meet the challenge! Push-up Challenge!! Try this program for one month and see how you feel! The assessment- Do the most pushups you can do, properly, without stopping. If that number is greater than 50, divide by half to find your starting point- you are in group A. If between 25-50, divide by three- you are in group B. If less than 25, divide by 4- you are in group C. This is your starting point.... Day 1- Groups A, B and C each perform 8 sets of their starting point number of pushups. This can be spread out throughout the day, or done at any interval that allows you to recover enough to successfully complete all sets. Day 2- Group A add 5 pushups to each set, group B add 3 and group C add 2 pushups. All groups perform 9 sets throughout the day. Day 3- Group A add 5 pushups to each set, group B add 3 and group C add 2 pushups. All groups perform 8 sets throughout the day. Day 4- Again add the above number of pushups and subtract one set. Continue this pattern until you get to Day 8 and do one set. In some cases, Day 1 will be your new max!! Congratulations! Now take a few days off and repeat, factoring in your new max to find your starting point. Some advice: If you have not been doing many pushups prior to this challenge, you might want to do the program every OTHER day, so you dont get injured. If you dont get all of your sets in on a given day, dont worry about it- you can either repeat it the following day, or you can advance to the next day. Remember, if you dont have good form, it DOESNT COUNT! Have fun seeing your results!!
