Here we go again. OGHF has been presented with an opportunity to add a 6th flight to this years schedule and we would never turn down such an opportunity, so... For Immediate Release: Old Glory Honor Flight of Northeast Wisconsin Proudly Presents Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight II at EAA’s AirVenture August 1, 2014 Old Glory Honor Flight, in partnership with American Airlines proudly announces Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight II. This special flight will take place on August 1st 2014 as part of EAA’s AirVenture Oshkosh 2014. While Old Glory Honor Flight remains committed to transporting Wisconsin’s most senior war time veterans to Washington DC, this mission will be different. Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight II will be dedicated to the continuing recognition of our Vietnam veterans, and all participants will be veterans of the Vietnam War. “Last year’s Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight was designed as a onetime event, but with the generosity of American Airlines and the encouragement of EAA, we are excited to bring back the event one more time for 2014” said Old Glory Honor Flight President, Drew MacDonald. “We are humbled to have the world class venue that is AirVenture to show our veterans how thankful the nation is.” This is a special event with a separate application process. Interested veterans may go to oldgloryhonorflight.org to secure an application starting on May 30th and applications will be accepted through June 23rd. One hundred veterans will be selected at random from submitted applications. While Old Glory Honor Flight and its sister hubs around the State remain totally committed to our primary mission of flying our local WWII and Korean War veterans to Washington DC, Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight II is just another way for us to continue to say thank you for the service and sacrifices of our military veterans.
