Here we go again, and the problem is, most people involved - TopicsExpress

Here we go again, and the problem is, most people involved actually are aware of the problems, but many view their presence at these universities as opportunities to get ahead in life as a good enough reasons to continue turning their heads to the issues and insults. Naturally, I, like others have ideas about some possible ways to address the matter in ways that would be both noticed and effective. The challenge is that it will take Heart and Nerves to stand-up and make an impact. The first thing needed is for Concerned Alumni to come together as a group to first Publicly Denounce the lack of actions by the Universities, along with their seemingly nonchalant attitude in addressing these matters. The Universitys Administration, Coaches, and Faculty are fully aware that image is everything, they also know that as long as they keep the higher profile Athletes satisfied others will follow their leads, meaning that they, the Universities, have a tool to Control their unsatisfied population. Im not going to sit here and advocate a total boycott or departure of students from these universities, however, what I will advocate is for the Many Graduates and Alumni of these Universities come together and, rather than pumping their monies back to the universities in support of their racist ways and means, COME OUT UNIFIED TO PUBLICLY DONATE YOUR MONIES TO A HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. Why an HBCU? Its a simple equation, during the days of Adolph Rupp, when one of the persons considered a top coach in American Basketball History, Rupp himself, refused to allow Black Players on his squad, the players had to compete in HBCUs. However, once the great and mighty University of Kentucky was sucked into that Black Hole and was not only beaten but totally embarrassed, on a World Scale, by this small non-important or meaningless team of Blacks, extortion than became the buzz word of the day. At that point heads began to swivel, eyes began to roll, and meetings began to take place on these major campuses, oh, I mean behind closed doors meetings, to address ways and means of getting of these young people to attend their schools. To shorten this missive, as I stated earlier, bring together Graduates and Alumni, and to have them publicly denounce the Universities that continue to allow racist activities to permeate the hallowed grounds and walls of these institutions and give the monies that they would ordinarily pump into support for these schools, and give it to the Universities that have suffered as a result of having been rapped by the more endowed University Systems. As a result of the most successful castration in American History, these HBCUs are suffering, today, from the STDs which were embedded by the in them by the rampant dissection and exportation of the gifted Black Athletes. Today we of the hear a slogan across the airwaves which encourages to, Pay It Forward, however, my suggestion is that we all consider a change in philosophy and consider, PAYING IT BACKWARD and use YOUR MONIES to uplift the only Vestibules of Hope for an Education that we once shared.... As my Grandmother would say, Put Up or Shut Up.....Oh, Im Just Saying!..... ....F.I.E.T.T.S....
