Here we go here we go you FCB get out of our club Newcastle owner Mike Ashley wants to sign Burnley star Danny Ings NEWCASTLE owner Mike Ashley wants to sign Burnley hot-shot Danny Ings - not for the Toon but for Rangers should they secure promotion back to the Scottish Premiership. Ashley is a stakeholder in Rangers and is lining up a shock summer move for Ings if the Glasgow club go up. Rangers are currently second in the Scottish Championship, nine points off leaders Hearts. The Newcastle owner is believed to be an admirer of the 22-year-old who has four goals in the Premier League this season. Ashleys fondness of Ings would also have to open up the possibility of a move to Newcastle. The Magpies Papiss Cisse has scored seven goals this term but they have come in fits and spurts and Alan Pardew would like another top striker to rival the Senegalese. Pardew has already revealed that he is a big fan of the player “I can say at this moment hes a Burnley player, he wants to be a Burnley player and thats quite obvious from his goals” Ings, whose Burnley team is currently second from bottom in the table, is likely to be among the most sort after players when the transfer market opens in January and again next summer. Burnley boss Sean Dyche insisted earlier this month that Ings was happy at Turf Moore. Dyche said: We discuss with all our players and their agents, were very open, its an ongoing process. Weve had it all before, its just the nature of your players doing well. I can say at this moment hes a Burnley player, he wants to be a Burnley player and thats quite obvious from his goals. Who knows what the future will bring? Its just the reality of the business. Hes enjoying what hes doing and were enjoying having him here
