Here we have Paul from Frances magnificent NSR250, This is a truly unique bike and is almost unrecognizable from the MC18 stock bike that Paul showed us a year ago. As well as the bespoke TYGA Performance bodywork and exhausts which he persuaded us to make, this stroker has a myriad of other changes that Paul undertook, such as an MC21 swing arm, (highly polished of course, along with the frame), home designed and fabricated subframe and a host of other various brackets and stays which he had powder coated and polished. You might also spot other TYGA Performance components such as the rear sets and carbon instrument surround. Paul has an eye for detail and an example of this was when he explained to me how he carefully sanded the fuel tap knob and painted in the lettering on it before clearcoating it to bring it back to new. Another thing he did was run extra indicators in series in a sealed tube inside the fairing to act as resistors to get the flashing rate to work correctly; crafty! The radiator has a car fan installed so Paul never has to worry about overheating, something the bike suffered from before when stuck in traffic. The paint job was Pauls interpretation of Randy De Puniets GP scheme and the 36s come from the 36 on his registration plate although he did say he was a Nika Kalio fan too. Lurking under the fairing is a TYGA 300 big bore kit on a freshly built engine that Paul assembled himself, so this bike goes as well as it looks. The parallel silencers really crackle with a blip of the throttle and give a hint of the performance available. Being a lightweight MC18 and then having all that heavy Honda stuff removed such as bodywork, exhausts and subframe really lightened it further. Paul is really impressed and satisfied with the performance of the 27 year old 2 stroke. They dont make them like they used to...thats true, with a bit of imagination and the right parts, you can make them a lot better! A big thanks to Paul for sharing his creation with us.
