Here we have a interview with Kaledon. I asked Alex Mele (guitarist, backing vocals) about the band and how it has been going. Enjoy 1. How has Antillius: the king of the light album been doing in sales so far? AM. Well, the album is selling very well... of course, as you know, the digital piracy make serious damages to the artists but... We must learn to live in this reality and try to go on without problems 2. Looking at all of your albums and reading the concept section on your main page when did this idea come about as inspiration for music writing? AM. I wrote the complete concept story in 1998, during my military service! I have no received inspiration from books or movies... Everything it comes from my mind like a lightning in a clear sky! The band Kaledon was born several months after this event therefore, I had the idea to use the concept story in the bands lyrics. 3. Do your have any major tours set up for 2015? AM. We are working in these days with our staff to find more shows as possible for this year! Soon well have some news for you guys 4. After 17 years having the band do you feel you finally have a line up that will stay strong an produce many more albums? AM. As you probably know, we are looking in these days for a new singer! Marco Palazzi left the band after the recording session last album and this event forced us to cancel the entire winter promotional tour! Well announce very soon a new great and of course serious singer for our future, and we hope to do with him more albums and tour possibile. 5. Having albums finally released here in the states are you glad to see fans from this part of the world enjoying your music? AM. Oh yes I am really proud of this and we hope to come for a US Tour very soon! Wed like to play live for you guys as soon as we can. 6. Do you like making music videos or is it a necessary evil to help get your music noticed? AM. Yeeeah we absolutely like to do music videos... its funny and very important at the same time! Unfortunately this year because of the abandonment of Marco Palazzi, we could only do a video! The second we had in program will never see the light... Sorry it was not our fault... 7. Outside of making music is there anything that you enjoy to easy the mind when trying to write music? AM. Well... to be honest no because I write music and lyrics about my concept story that is completely ready so... I just follow the line! When a write a new album I only need to decide which is the character to focus on... and then I write lyrics and music about him (or her)... it is very easy for me! :-) 8. As a last word what would you like to tell the fans from around the world on what to expect in the future from Kaledon? AM. Of course I can tell you that I hope you guys like our last album Antillius The King Of The Light and I would like to invite you to BUY the music! We all need your support! Piracy is not a victimless crime... Remember this very well... The illegal download will kill music very soon... After that... I hope to see you guys in the road very soon!
