Here you go, Mary , 20 fun facts about my life! 1. I was born in Kansas City, MO and lived there until I was 6, we moved on my 6th birthday to Independence. 2. I was adopted by my grandmother when I was 3 although she had me in custody when I was around 9 months old. 3. Im a miracle: when my grandmother got me you could count every rib and see my spinal chord. At 9 months old I could not sit up on my own and had a rash so bad, it bled. 4. I was a methadone baby at birth and I came out of that with limited issues. Trust me I have mine but I am VERY blessed to be as healthy and intelligent as I am! 5. My stepfather molested me from 3 - 12 (almost 13). My best childhood best friend, Mary, broke her promise, told my secret and saved my life! 6. I went to private school through 8th grade, then made the switch to public school. 7. My 9th and 10th grade year I attended Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, where I was the minority. 8. While at Paseo I majored in Music and Minored in Theater. I was also the only white person in an all black gospel choir, Sounds of Glory! 9. In 11th and 12th grade I attended William Chrisman HS where I graduated from. 10. I was obsessed with a Christian group called DC Talk growing up! still absolutely Love their music. Now I follow their very successful, individual careers. Take a listen to TobyMac, Michael Tate who is now with the News Boys, and Kevin Max who now sings for Audio Adrenalin! 11. I was also obsessed with boy bands! Went to Backstreet Boy concerts 3 different times and won the tickets every time! Still Love them and NKOTB 12. Favorite actor: as a kid, if they were cute they seemed to make the list at the time. River Phoenix and Leonardo DiCaprio made the top . Now: Mark Wahlberg, Johnny Depp and Leo. 13. I had four childhood best friends growing up 2 were my cousins, Teeyana and Lisa. The other 2 were Mary (whose making me do this) and her sister Bev. 14. I moved out when I was 19 and went to live with my, NOW sister in law, Dotti. 15. got married at the end of August of 2001. We planned on going to New York for our honeymoon in September. Thank the Good Lord I got in a hurry and we left a week early and went the other way in the country! 16. I have three children who are all miracles. Everyone was born prematurely and had some major health issues. They are now growing and thriving. Still some issues but we live and work with them every day! 17. I have one more so. Who we have legal guardianship of. He is a treasure to have and I am so thrilled he came to live with us. When we got him at 8 he couldnt read or write. Did not know how to identify numbers past 10 and could not spell his own name. He has come so far! And is going in to 7th grade this year!! 18. I recently got the lap band done in hopes to lose weight. It will be a long journey but one I am willing to take. Anyone that says, you are cheating or taking the easy way out....are out of their mind! You have to work just as hard as anyone else! 19. I have a dog named Kirby who is border collie and Australian shepherd. Ok he is Terry Crabtrees Dog!! He loves us all but really really loves his daddy. 20. My friend helped me remember a funny memory growing up. My mom would make homemade ice cream and snow cream. Yum!!! She made the ice team in one of those hand crank old ice cream makers. She would do this almost every church activity. I remember at one we had a hayride and all of us youth day on the back of the wagon singing, Ice Ice Baby. I put these toe together cause mom was busy making ice cream and may not have approved of the song choice at a church event! LOL 21. I went to Arizona western college and received a degree in Theater and Secondary Education. My theater proffesor, Forrest A. Straley aka Chip!! Changed my life forever!! And I am grateful every day that he came into my life!! Ok, Mary, I did it! Hope its ok?!? It wasnt as hard as I thought it would be. I need to write a book, I guess!
