Heres Ben Selvins (Novelty) Orchestra performing Im Forever Blowing Bubbles (https://youtube/watch?v=qr5sRLvxsUo) with Eph(raim) Hannafords trombone (the uncle grandpa of Wendy Gardner & Craig Hannaford), Nathan Glantzs sappy alto sax, Frank Cleggs xylophone, Bernie Grauers piano, John Calis romping rollicking banjo & Selvins longtime sideman & founding member Milton Sandss drums. Selvins band was playing at the Moulin Rouge when he & his musicians went on July 18 from 1919 to cut the first 2 takes of this side which were rejected, but fortunately, he remade this side & it went issued with take 7 on Victor 18614 (more details on the webpage of Discography of American Historical Recordings: adp.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/matrix/detail/700008126/B-22966-Im_forever_blowing_bubbles). For that time, Selvin didnt hired yet trumpeter Harry Glantz & an unknown violinist until the famous November 20 of 1919 session in which they cut Dardanella (which surpassed the million copies of records & sheet music).
