Heres Lilly my little 1973 series 3 88 2.25petrol with 54,000 original miles (as far as the history confirms), I thought Id share (I think again). I dont think I will ever sell her on, absolutely love her to bits. She was a hard top when I got her 2 years ago in December 2012, (I still have the top and repainted it all limestone) and 3 seats in the front, according to my paperwork, registered as a truck cab, and when I rebuilt it the 1st summer she had a canvas and I replaced the saggy old seats with a pair off a defender and a cubby box, and then into this year with the truck cab before going back to canvas for the summer. Sadly now in bits being rebuilt and converted to a 2.5n/a with galvy chassis and possibly a galvy bulkhead (certainly long term). I really cant wait to have her back together and on the roads again, she has such charm. I find it frustrating when I see other series landies on the road over here because it makes me really want mine running. But they are few and far between, so it puts a smile on my face to see them. Now, a question to you, which look do you prefer? Hard top? Canvas? or Truck cab? And does anyone have any seat suggestions? as I am thinking of going back to period ones.
