Heres My Little Bunch of Happiness (m.youtube/watch?v=aJbv-V6ZRgw) & Ill Never See Maggie Alone (m.youtube/watch?v=lZHsFT1GL6w) by Ben Selvins (Bar Harbor Society) Orchestra with Vaughn De Leath singing on both titles. And also featuring Earl Olivers growling trumpet, Sammy Lewiss crazy trombone, Larry Abbotts alto sax, soprano sax & clarinet, possibly Ken Goof Moyer on alto sax, baritone sax, soprano sax & clarinet, Hymie Wolfsons tenor sax, soprano sax & clarinet, George Hamilton Green on xylophone, either Lew/Louis/Lou Cobey or Harry Merkur on piano, John Calis romping rollicking banjo, Hank Sterns tuba & Joe Green (the brother of George Hamilton Green) on drums. As for the lead trumpet & solo, it sounds a bit like Bob Effros (the grandpa of Barbara Effros). In case isnt Effros, i suspect is possibly Frank Cush. What is sure is that those sides were recorded on January 4 of 1927 (Effros was under contract with Lopez at the time these sides were made & his last session with Lopez was on January 14 from 1927 for Brunswick) in New York & they went issued on Okeh 40743 & australian Parlophone A-2146 with My Little Bunch of Happiness also issued on british Parlophone E-5775. Hopenyoull enjoy the first 2 titles of that date a lot!
