Heres a bold experiment . . . a pen made of stacked leather . . . this is where Ive gotten so far. I started with an almost 10 inch stack of 7/8 square, 7/8oz. pieces of leather, cased them, stacked them on a threaded rod and compressed them between fender washers to just under 7 - allowed them to dry, then restacked and cemented them, and compressed them again. Ill find out tomorrow how well it works on the lathe . . . or doesnt. Thoughts?
