Heres a completely fair idea for greedy developers in NYC and other cities facing our plight. In all those swanky hi rises they keep putting up over affordable housing, most units are bought by super rich clients. The super rich next to never use these condos. So we have people so greedy for money killing affordable housing for people with little intent for using it. The housing authority should take a realistic survey on all of the units in the city that fall under that blanket statement, add up the square footage of unused housing, divide by what square footage would be used in middle income housing, and build that many affordable units out of their own pockets. This would either alleviate the affordable housing issue or change the way these greedy cum lickers do business. Wont ever happen. Nice thought though.
