Heres a definite way to get kicked out of your church! Give this post to them to read! Here is the most powerful evidence that those who die lost can and will be saved after death. 1. Romans 9-11 is one self-contained passage where Paul deals with Israels rejection of JESUS. 2. Many Israelites of Pauls day were lost Romans 10:1 Brothers, my hearts desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved How does an Israelite get saved? 3. Subjective salvation takes place like this ... Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved And faith or belief in JESUS comes this way ... Romans 10:14-17 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel! 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. So its clear 1. Salvation at a personal heart level takes place as a person hears the gospel and believes it in their heart confessing (greek agreeing) that JESUS is lord. But we have a problem Most Israelites have not heard the Gospel and believed in their heart that jesus rose from the dead. Paul said that most of Israel was lost And have died in unbelief So given they are dead and in unbelief not having heard the Gospel Can they still be saved after death? Look what Paul says Romans 11:7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, 1. Paul speaks about 2 groups within Israel A. The elect who accepted JESUS and were saved B. The rest who were hardened. Now you need to get this point Israel is made up of two groups: believing and unbelieving Now look at what Paul can say about the future of every single lost Israelite Romans 11:23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 2. All Israelites can come away from unbelief But will they? Romans 11 25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, Did you see that? 1. All lost hardened in unbelief Israelites remain lost but only until. Its temporary 2. He says that all Israel will be saved 3. He labored the point that Israel is made up of two groups as we saw and 4. Now he tells us that all the lost Israelites will be saved together with the elect All Israel All But most have died in unbelief!! And yet they will all be saved?!!! And as we saw this can only happen as they hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus. There is only one conclusion: Since most died in unbelief ... Since all will be saved ... Since a person can only be saved by hearing the gospel and believing and confessing (agreeing) that God rose JESUS from the dead ... Then All who died in unbelief must hear the gospel For it is Gods way for their salvation! This has been Pauls unfolding message that he has been presenting for 3 chapters. All Israel will be saved. All! When will all Israel be saved subjectively? When will their unbelief turn to faith? When will the lost dead Israelites hear the gospel? Romans 11 26 In this way all Israel will be saved as it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob; 27 and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins. Wow! When Jesus returns from heaven he will deal with their sin of unbelief This is when they all come to faith When Jesus returns The dead come back to life They hear the Gospel And all Israel will be saved Why must all Israel be saved? Romans 11 28 as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. God promised Abraham to bless all his kids Gods promises are irrevocable! He promised they would all be saved And they all will and must! Starting from the original ones to whom the promise was made (Abrahams day) Till the very end when Jesus returns to finish the job and keep his promise to Abraham This is the strongest evidence in the bible That the dead can will and must hear the gospel and will get saved! I just wrote myself happy! None lost!
