Heres a fact a few people didnt know. Abramovich very nearly bought Tottenham instead of Chelsea. He wanted to invest in a London team and take them to the top. Arsenal were already a top side, so he was choosing between Spurs and Chelsea. (He ignored West ham lol). He chose Chelsea because in the season he bought them, they had European football, and Spurs did not. Jesper Gronkjaer scored the goal which put Chelsea into the Champions League that year. That goal is probably one of the most valuable goals of all time. Imagine if Spurs had been taken over and not Chelsea. As a Spurs fan, im not sure if id like it. I prefer doing it the hard way, even if it leads to less success. All I know is that there would be a lot more Spurs fans around if wed have been taken over. - Seany
