Heres a few notable events that have been reported to us over the past few days. We caught up with 3 male representatives from Major Energy going door-to-door. One of the males will be summonsed to court for Peddling Without a License after the responding officer discovered he had been warned less than a month ago to cease soliciting without the proper license. Those companies with valid licenses to solicit include Comcast/Xfinity; Verizon Fios; Edward Jones; and Protection One. A resident on Burrage Ave discovered the door handle on the slider had been broken off- no entry gained and nothing further discovered or damaged. Finally, 2 car breaks were reported. The first incident took place around 9PM Tuesday night in the Allen St area. While the victim did lock the car door, a designer purse was left in view and the male suspect wearing a gray hoodie smashed through the window with a large rock. The second incident took place sometime last night in the Oxford St area- the vehicle was unlocked and loose change taken. Please be sure to remove your valuables and lock up prior to leaving your vehicle unattended! Numerous arrests for shoplifting, organized retail theft, outstanding warrants and disorderly conduct were made as well.
