Heres a fun question Ill leave up for a few hours and see if I can get a few people thinking before I reply (dont spoil it if you know where I am going with this): Take the following scenarios and just say which side youd fall on: 1. If, say, someone was working for a railroad and, while on the job, lost their arm after it was smashed in between two cars, would you support that worker getting compensated monetarily for their lost arm and get medical care for the injury? (Assume the worker was not at fault) 2. Do you support national parks being funded by the government? 3. Do you support a five day work week or should companies be allowed to decide how many days a week an employee works? 4. Should we allow monopolies? For instance, would it be okay if Comcast bought up all the cable companies and became the only cable provider in the U.S.? (this is one example, pick any industry- is it okay or not?) Ill answer later after friends have had a chance to weigh in. For each one, just a yes or no will do and you dont have to agree or disagree with all of them
