Heres a great project in the Plain of Jars that you might consider supporting. Since 2010, Lone Buffalo Foundation Page successfully teaches English to hundreds of Hmong and Lao students annually. Right now, the group cant meet the growing demand of young people in Xieng Khoang who want to learn. You can join others, such as the U.S. and UK Embassies, and other dedicated individuals, who have provided funding to Lone Buffalo to help young Lao to learn English. Your donation of $100 will help one student learn English, participate in UXO awareness and soccer workshops for an entire year (and you will receive some beautiful gifts donated by artists and local NGOs). They are half-way to achieving their goal of raising $10,000 to expand their programs. You can help them get to 100% and continue this important and effective work in providing young people, who live in one the most bombed areas in Laos, the opportunities to gain skills to help them have a brighter future.
