Heres a great slow-motion video of Ilya Ilyin setting the clean-and-jerk world record for his weight class a little over a week ago. At the time of competition, he weighed in at 230 pounds. In the video, hes clean-and-jerking 242 kg, which converts to roughly 533 pounds. Crazy! There are lots of things to take note of in the video, but a very basic takeaway and important concept is to notice how much his body moves relative to the movement of the bar.
