Heres a great video of the band The Kings doing their one big hit, Switching To Glide, over 30 years. Ive always been of several minds on this song (or is it two songs?). I remember the first part of this song (3 minutes??) is okay, but kind of works you into a lather as you wait for the last 2 minute anthem. Everyone in the bar got excited when this song came on - but they went ballistic when we got to the anthem part. Nothing matters but the weekend - from a Tuesday point of view....awesome....would the song be as well remembered without the opening part?
