Heres a little about me for those that dont know me well: I am a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe and a graduate of the Grosse Pointe Public Schools. I married my high school sweetheart from Grosse Pointe South, Mary Ronan Howlett, who grew up in Grosse Pointe as well. We have three sons: Thomas (8-as of today!), Pete (5) and Will (2). Thomas will be a 2nd grader at Maire and Pete will be a kindergartner there. Im active as a coach in the Grosse Pointe Park Little League and Neighborhood Club sports and get more joy out of it than the kids do. I am a graduate of Duke University and the Washington University School of Law, where I was an associate editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy and a merit scholarship recipient. I attended Defer and Maire Elementary, Pierce Middle School and Grosse Pointe South. Mary attended Monteith Elementary, Brownell Middle School and Grosse Pointe South. Needless to say, were familiar with the schools in GP. I am an owner and a partner in the law firm of Viviano, Pagano & Howlett PLLC, where I specialize in commercial litigation and real estate law. Prior to becoming a partner there, I was president of real estate development and management company Crown Enterprises, and began my career as an attorney at Bodman PLC. I am currently a member of the board of the Grosse Pointe Foundation for Public Education , where I help the organization provide private funding to enhance academic and enrichment programs for the Grosse Pointe Public School System. Its a terrific organization with amazing volunteers and I am proud to be a part of it.
