Heres a little note from Kay called Mixed Emotions May can sometimes be a difficult month at Navajo Ministries. It is a time of mixed emotions for our staff and children. This year, five children will leave our care at the end of the month. Regardless of the length of time they have been here, we meet their departure with happiness and grief. It is always a joy to reunite a family and see the children back in their homes with the parents they love. But there is always a certain sadness in saying goodbye to these precious little ones. Our houseparents pour their lives into the care of the children while they are here, and relationships are built among the children that sometimes last for a life time. In Mark 22:32, when Jesus was in the upper room giving His final goodbye to His disciples, He poured out his love and instructions to them. As he addressed Simon Peter, He said, “But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail.” This is a commitment we make to the special children who live at Navajo Ministries, as well as to those who leave our care. It is the greatest gift we can bestow upon them. Please join us in praying for those who will leave us this month, that they will remain strong in their faith and commitments to Christ.
