Heres a little peak into what we do when were remapping your ECU software. Shown is the initial stage, where the maps need to be located and the correct factors applied. Here about 15 maps are obtained, in a normal stage 1 remap with DPF delete there are more than 50 maps and single values which need to be located and altered. Before this we read the ECU with EVC BDM100, this probes directly in to the circuit board of the ECU. The software used here is EVC WinOLS. This is basically a Hex editor which can be used to display the data graphically, it also corrects the check sums within the files before writing back to the ECU. youtu.be/SETGivj_mU8
