Heres a look at radar... the snow showers are associated with a cold front and the clipper. The clipper will be heading for the Mid Atlantic on Sunday. As it gets closer it will transfer its energy to a new area of low pressure that will form off the Coast. The low will develop rapidly as it moves north and east. This kind of setup is called a Miller B Noreaster. The storm will most likely achieve bombogenesis. Normally this is called a bomb, the word is a combination of cyclogenesis, which describes the formation of a cyclone or storm, and bomb. For a storm to bomb the surface barometric pressure as to drop by 24 or more millibars in a 24-hour period. The Euro is closer to the coast and shows a much slower timeline, bringing heavy snow into New Jersey and New York City.. The Canadian and GFS favor a harder hit in New England . Euro and its ensembles are in good agreement on the track. which does place a lot of weight on its side of the scale. But one thing that is developing on some of the models is a hole developing over part of southern New Hampshire and down into Massachusetts , but it could be just a little glitch... we will see. The 6z NAM doesnt look right. Might be convective feedback . So Im throwing that run out. More on all of this tomorrow
