Heres a lovely passion flower thats growing round my front door. Ive been told its not hardy but it survived last winter and even has fruits on now - maybe now its established it might bear the frost? (Bumblebee free of charge). On the subject of bees, no pic for this but I have an enormous ivy creeping over my summerhouse and next doors ugly corrugated iron garage. I was working near it the other day and wondered what the humming noise was - it was absolutely covered with bees, bumblebees, hover flies, butterflies and the odd wasp. Blackbirds like to nest in it and in the spring I see little black or brown heads poking out to snatch berries without even needing to leave the nest.
