Heres a neat and humorous value assessment of taco bells dollar - TopicsExpress

Heres a neat and humorous value assessment of taco bells dollar menu. Also, the headline formed a very good argument as to why raising minimum wage does nothing to help poor people. When I first started working a real job just 16 years ago, minimum wage was $5.15 and you were hard pressed to find ANYTHING on taco bells menu priced at a dollar. Bean burritos, hard and soft tacos were 79 cents. I believe (forgive me if Im wrong) the most expensive item was the 7 layer burritos priced at $1.29. Now, 16 years later with minimum wage at $7.50, taco bell has introduced a dollar menu. Think about everything else that you bought 16 years ago and how much it used to cost. Then think about how much better off minimum wage employees are as compared to 16 years ago. This is why I consider it a non-issue. Also, people in the middle do not always recieve raises just because minimum wage was raised, and I ask you, who is killing the middle class? I am aware that it is a larger argument, but the fact of the matter is that raising minimum wage does not help poor people.
