Heres a nice, short checklist for the must have communication skills from Babytalk. Quick reminder.... Milestones arent an average age. This list, like other milestone checklists, notes when MOST babies in the age range (around 90%) have mastered the skill. While theres no guarantee a child who is not doing these things is officially behind, there is cause for concern. Youll hear advice like all kids are different and you shouldnt compare, but know this: language development occurs in patterns that are predictable within broader age ranges. The ones listed here are the end of the age range for typical development and says so with the word By __ months. I want to be sure youre looking at this information correctly!
