Heres a pic of my old Bronco. It was quite the vehicle. Started out as 79 Bronco XLT loaded, minus a radio (because in its original territory there were no radio stations!), with a 400 and automatic, posis front and rear, quad shocks, factory tow hook. You name it it was there! Because it had the captain seats it didnt have the Sport Bar. Then when I acquired it, it needed bigger wheels, better performing motor and trans. Then came the lift kit and slightly larger wheels and tires (just BFG 35s). It was a Rancho lift kit with their shocks. The motor first got an intake and Holley 600, 10.5:1 pistons, cam, lifters, true double roller timing chain and gears, headers, dual exhaust, etc. Then the tranny got a solid work over with everything from Ford Racing that had to do with C-6s. To keep the engine at the right RPM, 4.56 gears went into the front and back, along with a Detroit locker for the rear. It really went. When you stepped on it, it shifted so hard it made the CD player skip! And do think that was enough? No! So next came some old 2 bbl Cleveland heads with lots of work done to them including the valves like from the 4 bbl heads (no you can buy aluminum heads like this), work done to the intake, and now a 750 Holley. Well I couldnt keep enough fuel in it. The earlier version of the 400 was all I needed. Plus if you didnt stomp it too often it got pretty good fuel economy. Sorry, I dont have any pics with the bigger rims and tires.
