Hoping that my Facebook friends connected with our local media could digest the thought behind the thoughtful observation: From Carlo Jerome Ng: As expected and repeatedly forecasted: The Pope was surprised by how his words about responsible parenthood have been taken out of context. The headlines and the emphasis have been wrongly placed on the qualification of not breeding like rabbits instead of Pope Francis main point praising Pope Paul VI for the stand against contraception. It would be nice if Inquirer and all other broadsheets can run this corrective story but sadly that may be too much to ask for. Nonetheless, the secular media will not be able to forever misinterpret the words of Pope Francis. Eventually the truth will come out.
