Heres a potential privacy and security risk that slipped right by me until just now. Tonight when I was getting changed to workout, I put my pants into my bag in a locker, and my smart phone must have been brushed just right so that it posted the last photo I took a few days ago to Facebook. Luckily it was just some random picture of a family engrossed in their own world while riding the subway together, but the real problem was since my phone was already authenticated and logged in through the Facebook app, this happened without my even realizing. My quick fix was removing the photo from Facebook. And more importantly, deleting the Facebook app, so if I want to look at Facebook from my phone I need to open a browser and go to the website. Having an app that can publicly post as me that stays connected all the time, was a big mistake. It was basically a 21st century pocket call, but I accidentally called all of the several hundred people I kind of know on Facebook at once. Good thing it wasnt a picture of me blowing a stranger in the back of the express bus. Im going to go through my phone with a fine tooth comb and put a simple PIN on every app that can post.
