Heres a question for you. I got home after work this evening and found that the contractors for Persimmon homes had dug up a road near my house (I know it doesnt look busy but its on the end of an estate and theres loads of smaller roads kicking off it). Anyway, not only is this trough full of loose stones which makes riding on it interesting to say the least, but also a bit of a challenge to get out of! The letter says that works may go on for 10 weeks, during which time I would imagine a number of bikes will go over. You cant not ride on it when a car comes the other way, and is plain dangerous. The letter says about lights too, but theyre just at a junction at the end of the road). Im going to be complaining tomorrow, however, I wondered if anyone else had argued this kind of thing and achieved anything? Its ridiculous in this day and age that people can leave the road in such a dangerous and unkept manner! was a bit of a saggy arse moment when my two wheels struggled to get out at an acute angle!
