Heres a question not completely about boxing, but is about punching. Officer Wilson claims he was hit three times in the face by Michael Brown, and yet the contusions werent serious. Brown was an 18-year-old flabmeister with 300-pounds on his body, and was about 64. He was not wearing gloves, and didnt have boxing training. If he hit Wilson straight on, would he have knocked him out? Wilson claimed to partially deflect the hits with his arm, and plus Brown had to aim the shots through a police cruisers window, and avoid breaking his hand on the metal frame, so he had to jab, I assume, as opposed to throwing roundhouse rights and lefts. Moreover, they were in a clinch, it seems, so he might not have gotten off his best shots. Wilson was also 64, and about 215. If any of you followed this street fight - do you find Officer Wilsons testimony believable? He said it was like fighting Hulk Hogan and he was a five-year-old. Is that an exaggeration. I ask quite honestly. I believed his story, but have many leftist friends (I work in a university, so what else am I going to have) who dont. What do you folks think? They deny he was ever even hit, because they claim if he had been, there would have been far more serious injuries. I dont think the general public knows how to throw a solid punch that does much damage. Whos right?
