Heres a reminder about how to do the two breathing exercises. This video is aimed at people who are familiar with the exercises and yoga in general, but useful I hope for those of you who are just starting to learn them, as they are explained in a lot of detail. You dont have to take in everything, you can concentrate on just the physical mechanics of them for now :) If you are just starting, you can try doing 10 or 20 exhalations during kapalbhati and breathing normally afterwards instead of the retention. For those of you just getting used to anuloma viloma, try half retention for 3 complete rounds of the alternate nostril breathing i.e. inhale for 4, retain for 8 and exhale for 8. TAKE CARE - dont do kapalbhati if you have abdominal pain, are pregnant or having an asthma attack.
