E. Waddell) Land/earth: concrete thoughts, language and concepts. Water: abstract ideas, metaphors and general deep thought. Fire: Rhythm and Rhymes Wind: Feelings and intense emotion. Spirit: The underlined soul/meaning and deeper purpose for ones writing. That often cannot be explained. Each and every writer of poetic expression has 2 of these elements that they naturally use, a primary and a secondary strength and organic style and overall approach as a writer. In this unique and innovative workshop we will identify and harness each poets primary elemental writing techniques and then attempt to begin the groundwork of sparking and mastering those elements that we do not use, using our strengths to awake and harness our poetic weaknesses.
