Heres a story for this rainy day in Corpus! Message us and share your stories! In August of 2009 I moved to Corpus from north Texas. I moved into a one bedroom apartment at The Shores. I was going to A&M so it was great, very convenient commute and affordable. Within days of moving into my apartment, my AC broke. They told me no one had lived in my apartment for a long time, which I thought was strange since it was a nice, affordable 1-bedroom so close to campus. I had also noticed some other strange things about the apartment, like knuckle imprints in the front door and what appeared to be bullet holes in wall between the living room and bedroom that had been sealed over. Not long after moving in, weird things started happening. The buzzer on my stove would go off in the middle of the night several times a week. Sometimes as soon as I would turn it off, it would turn back on. I had maintenance come out and fix it but they said they couldnt find a problem so they disconnected the wire for the buzzer. One night my boyfriend was there and he swore he felt ice cold fingers grab his arm. In fact, most of the activity that happened was when he was there. Another time, he came over while I was still at work and when he opened the door, he saw a dark figure dash from the living room into the bedroom. He thought someone had broken in. But he did a thorough search and found nothing. I had several instances of things moving on their own, such as shoes, dishes, cabinets opening and closing. I thi the weirdest one though was the last one I remember happening. It was right before I moved out. We were making dinner in the kitchen and I had an empty vodka bottle on top of the fridge that flew off, landing directly on my glass of tea, knocking it off of the counter, breaking the glass and spilling tea everywhere. Im sure there were more things but thats all I remember and its long enough as it is.
