Heres a story of my mom - first you must know that I didnt just love my mom, I respected her...it may not have always seemed like it because I would sometimes speak carelessly to her, yet I have always had a high regard for her compassion and vitality! Another thing you should know about my mom is that she was 49 maybe, and stout and, she was loud! :) After having 11 children she went back to school and got her MSW. She worked in foster care placement in Detroit. This meant that she was in court regularly. Over time the judges knew her by name and by face. One winter she was on her way to court, the youth courts were in the basement of the building, which meant going down this long flight of wide steps. It was slippery and she missed her footing and fell face forward, luckily she was always agile and learnt to fall from ice skating, so she used her brief case as a shield in front of her and went flying down the steps landing in a pile at the bottom where she heard a voice Mrs Colucci are you alright?? My mom replied Im fine, I just have to get up then she looked to who was helping her and realized it was the judge that she was about to present a case to...quite humiliatingly she brushed herself off and said Thanks your honor, see you soon and walked away :P Totally BettyAnn Hanna Colucci! Miss you mom!
