Heres a true story that happened in January of 1986: This was at a time when I was traveling with a touring rock band. One week, between gigs, I was staying with one of my bandmates at a family members house near Orlando. We got up, one morning, at a decent hour to drive across town to meet with our booking agent. No big deal. But, when we went outside to get into the car, we noticed something unusual in the sky. It was a huge plume of smoke. It was definitely not clouds. It was strangely shaped, and there were streaks of smoke spreading out from the main cloud. I thought it might have been an air show, but we werent sure. We didnt think any more about it, until we arrived at our booking agents house. He had the TV news on, and we saw the video (below). Our jaws hit the floor. We had been standing right under it, not ten minutes earlier.
