Heres a what would you do problem. Our new-ish next to the next-door neighbor has acquired 2 small dogs, one of them a very young puppy. Even though we live on a busy highway, she turns them outside unsupervised. She was leaving them out all day while she worked, and they had started spending most of their time at my house. I wouldnt have any problem with this (other than worrying about them getting run over), but I have 3 large, dog-aggressive dogs. One of them is a monster,. who would probably kill her dogs in a heartbeat, but we very carefully manage Booger. I went over and talked to her the other day, very politely explained the situation, expressed great concern for the safety of her dogs when they come on my property, and she has since started keeping them inside while she works, and for that, I am thankful. But she still lets them out with no supervision to take care of their business, and they immediately run over here. So, when Kenny is walking our bad dogs, I have to stand out in the driveway and watch for her dogs and try to shoo them away before they get eaten alive. I am terrified one of them will get past me and get to Booger. The puppy has no idea what go away or go home means. She is insanely friendly, and anything you say to her she interprets as I wanna be your best friend forever. There are no leash laws here in BFE, and I know for a fact if one of her dogs comes over and gets attacked, the law will be on her side, and it may cause our dog to get put down. I saw this happen to someone in Hot Springs. What to do about this situation? I dont need this extra stress right now.
