Heres an easy summary of how to fuel: If you do a lot of highly intense / interval / endurance training: Eat enough protein, dial carbs up a bit, dial fat down a bit. If you do a lot of low intensity training: Eat enough protein, dial fat up a bit, dial carbs down a bit. Of course, individual experimentation is always your best bet because nobody is you and knows your body like you do. How much you dial things up or down will depends on feedback such as training quality / performance, health status, etc. Lets stop overcomplicating things :)
