Heres an email I just sent chicago uber. Ok I have a question for you. After thinking about the offer you guys put on the table for us. I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to qualify for the 8 hour $27 an hour if: 1) you only give us a 8 hour window of time to preform this in. 2) and you give us this little box we have to stay in. So with this being said the only way to properly quality is to make sure we are in your little box by 10am and online. And to stay with in this little box (because customers take us out of your little box for the drop off location) we have to except every call and then we need to call the customer right away and ask them where there drop off location is at. For instance; if I pick someone put lets say in Lincoln Park (well within your box) and they want to go lets say to schaumburg, I have just disqualified myself from the 8 hour $27 hour promotion. Because of 2 reasons. 1) now Im outside of your box for more then 1 minute. 2) if I dont turn off the app to drive all the way back to your box Ill not have the proper acceptance rate needed to qualify. So with this being said, I would have to call the customer right away to find out there drop off location and if its out side of your little box I will have to tell the customer I cant take them because they will disqualify me from a promotion uber gas set up. and i woyld have to cancel the call. This will: 1) make the customer upset. 2) make a higher demand, which it can lead into more surge pricing (which would in turn up set the customer because now they may have to pay more just to get where they want to go). So with this all being said you should: 1) get rid of your little box idea thing. 2) extended your time frame (if you dont get rid of the box) to 8 hours in a 12 hour time frame. With that being said we can take any customer to where ever they need to go and we would still be able to qualify for the 8 hour $27 hour promotion and not get knocked down to the 6 hour $25 promotion.
