Heres an email I received from Pastor Rod Parsley at World Harvest - TopicsExpress

Heres an email I received from Pastor Rod Parsley at World Harvest Church, here in Columbus, Ohio, It says: Everything is gone. Our house is like a skeleton, and we are running out of food and water. We are looking for food everywhere. The desperate words of Jenny, a typhoon survivor in the Philippines, show how catastrophic this storm was. She has nothing left, no home to return to. What hope does she have for the future - unless you and I step in to help? Typhoon survivors in the Philippines are walking the razors edge between life and death and desperately need our help! Please give a generous gift now - just $40 will help speed provisions to an entire family! Hundreds of thousands of homes have been swept away - possibly 10,000 people are dead - the infrastructure of regions which were already desperately impoverished has been destroyed - Without immediate outside aid, people like Jenny are faced with starvation. I beg you to help Bridge of Hope bring life-saving aid to the Philippines. Your gift of $40 will help supply food and essential emergency supplies to one family. $120 will help provide for three families. Perhaps you can even give $240 to help six families. Whatever youre able to give, you will be helping provide a total of 250,000 meals and emergency supplies to the victims ... and helping me share the Gospel with a lost and hurting world through our Breakthrough television broadcast. And as youre able to help, I believe God will reward you for your sacrifice.... He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor (proverbs 22:9). Whats the point of this post? Look: Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Parsley, his wife, Joni, and their two young children live in a five-bedroom house they have built next to his parents’ house on a 21-acre compound in northwest Fairfield County. The compound has an electronic gate at the road to discourage uninvited visitors, and stables and a corral have been built in one corner. Rod Parsley’s home is worth $857,090, say records at the Fairfield County recorder’s office. His parents’ home, also new, is valued at $831,480. Each was built with a $200,000 mortgage taken out in 1990. ... Parsley also owns a $500,000 jet, a seven-passenger Hawker Siddeley 125.” (Columbus Monthly magazine). Sadly, these numbers are reflected from a while ago and it is difficult to find a website portraying his networth. But We can Find: Benny Hinn is a televangelist and has a net worth of $42 million. Joel Osteen Net Worth: Joel Osteen is an American preacher, televangelist, author who has a net worth of $40 million. T. D. Jakes is the American pastor with a net worth of $18 million. Born Creflo Augustus Dollar, Jr. has an estimated net worth of $27 million. Pastor John Hagee net worth: Pastor John Hagee is the senior pastor of Cornerstone Church and has a net worth of $5 million. Pauline Joyce Hutchison or Joyce Meyer has an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. And all of these numbers are off... Why wont these people go and sell what they have and give to the Typhoon survivors in the Philippines? Im sure they can all pitch in together and help those people if they wanted to. I will give to the poor directly, when I pass them by. And that even is with discernment. Because I see that people have even exploited that area of the hustle also!
