Heres an important aspect of organization development we in the NGO sector need to reflect on - In my work with NGOs Ive found that the biggest roadblock to internal change comes from the resistance to let go of past organizational structure, which defines relationships internally in the NGO. After deep reflection on this I have come to realize that letting go of past organizational structure and relationships is threatening as it is assumed that the internal NGO members are letting go of themselves! What an illogical leap of thought! Letting go of the old you can only mean welcoming the new you! It doesnt mean a goodbye to you! Change is required, always, everywhere - otherwise we would not learn, we would not grow. Lets celebrate our ability to change without fear!
