Heres an update for everybody about the Emerald City Music Festival August 30th!!! Please note the venue change!! Emerald City Music Festival moves to Cooks Farm in Carnation, WA for their Saturday, August 30, 2014 music festival. Emerald City Music Festival was originally planned to take place at Magnuson Park in Seattle, the former home of Blues For Food Fest on Saturday, August 30, 2014. With unforeseen challenges with that date, Emerald City Music Festival had to find a new location. Given the short timeline for special event permit processes and no availability for a suitable location within Seattle, Festival Directors began a multi-county search that led them to Cooks Farm in Carnation, WA. Jonathan Richards says, “It wouldn’t be the Blues if there wasn’t a challenge to overcome. Through the adversity, we found a great venue that wanted to partner with us. Cooks Farm will allow us to grow into a multi-day event with camping in future years right on the Snoqualmie River.” Billy Stoops ads, “This new venue size will allow Emerald City Music Festival to grow into a major music festival. The same vendors, like the popular food truck, Where Y’at Matt will be feeding festivalgoers while the Washington Blues Society’s Beer Garden will keep ice-cold beer flowing. We are continuing to work with the same sound and stage team with a great lineup including Lloyd Jones, a special performance by United By Music North America, Hot Roddin’ Romeos, The Staxx Brothers, Sonny Rhodes and Too Slim and The Taildraggers.
