Responsibilities: Facilitating efficient sourcing, purchasing, storage and distribution of food throughout the Hamilton Niagara region: • Develop resources and strategies to improve supply chain logistics • Promote consumption of locally and sustainably-produced foods by sourcing from Ontario Farmers, processors, vendors, etc. • Prepare reports and support to enhance program sustainability • Participate in committees/projects as assigned • Maintain relationships with all student nutrition community partnerships • Maintain open communication lines between agencies and the community. Qualifications: • Minimum of three years’ of related experience working in food purchasing, warehousing and distribution within Ontario required. • Post-secondary education in dietetics, foodservice, cafeteria management, food or agricultural economics, or related study an asset • Strong organization, project and time management skills. • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction • Excellent advocacy skills and proven experience with volunteer committees and community networks • Experience and training in capacity building approaches • Valid driver’s licence, clean driver’s abstract, $2 million liability insurance and use of a vehicle. � The office is located in Townsend with extensive travel required throughout Hamilton Niagara region.
