Heres another of my ubiquitous sunrise photos - again from the Sea of Galilee. I spent my early mornings (5:30 -7:30 am) wandering the shore of the Sea of Galilee and the streets of Old Jerusalem alone. It was a great time for thoughts and reflections - in addition to the great lighting for photography. Im back now recovering from the 3 flights and the jet-lag. It was a fabulous trip on all counts and I learned much about my Faith, the Bible and Israel. Every day was filled with surprises, which Ill reveal once I sort out and post some of my pictures. I took about 5,000, which is a bit much, and Ill post 50 or so here. For those thinking about a trip there, I would highly recommend Odyssey Travel from Scranton, PA. Jay and Barry Weiss came to Israel with us to make sure our group of 30 had a great time. As with all trips, circumstances required changes on the fly - which they were able to accomplish because they were with us. Our guide, Lee Glassman, was/is the best guide I have encountered (Google him) and uses the Bible as his guide, liberally reading passages that corresponded to the exact places we were. We saw many, many places found in the Old and New Testaments, in addition to visiting a Tank Base and participating in an archaeological dig (I found lots of 2,300+ year-old stuff). In addition to my morning 2-hour jaunts, we spent 9-10 hours per day touring, so it was a full trip. For those interested, Im thinking about spear-heading a group with the same company in Spring, 2016. This time Barbara will go with me, as I missed her terribly while I was gone.
