Heres another pic from the Experience Hendrix show Friday night. Buddy Guy and the groovy Henri Brown tearing up Them Changes. I mentioned the honor of hearing and meeting Billy Cox and Buddy Guy and you know how I feel about Eric Johnson, but I also wanted to mention how inspiring ALL the players were that night: Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes had an incredible tone and played a great version of Up From The Skies. Zakk Wylde was, well...Zakk Wylde and shredded beyond belief :) Doyle Bramhall remains one of the tastiest players out there. Kenny Wayne Shepherd really sounded great. I first met him when he was maybe @ 14 yrs old at the Guitar Center in Dallas and he was already playing great THEN! Also enjoyed Jonny Langs soulful singing and playing. AND Chris Layton was a great bonus as nobody lays it down like that. It also wasnt lost on me that it happened to be SRVs birthday. Im sure he was missing his brother. There were a few other players whom I didnt know but also did JImi justice. Thanks to all!!!! Time to go write some new tunes....Love you all
