Heres another piece that really impressed me when I first heard it. We should be grateful that a recording (conducted by Martinon himself, no less) exists, but the quality of the sound isnt great and does the piece an injustice. What hope that a record company will take up the cause of someone whose talent as a composer (if not as a conductor) has been sadly neglected? And yet there is so much interesting stuff by him out there and you could put together such an enticing CD of his concertos and symphonies. youtu.be/Rta6sQAxPUQ
